Registered Agent Price Check › Why the $39 does not match
Why does the $39 not match the site?
Because $39 is the package price and checkout shows a bill. Taking Mainstay Filing out of the picture for a moment, here is the arithmetic for the most-quoted $39 offer, using its own page: Northwest Registered Agent shows $39 plus the state fee, with its registered agent service included the first year, then $125 a year; annual report filing is an extra $100 plus the state fee.
The same $39 in Idaho
- Package: $39.
- State filing fee in Idaho: $100. Paid to the state, identical with every provider.
- Registered agent: included in the first year, then $125 a year.
- Annual report: filing is an extra $100 plus the state fee where the state requires one.
Year one at checkout is $139. Year two is $125 for the agent, before any report filing. For comparison, Mainstay Filing year one is $299 and year two $199, with the annual report filed inside that price. Read October 20, 2026.
None of this makes the $39 dishonest: it is a real package price. It is only the first number.
