Registered Agent Price Check

Registered Agent Price Check › Spotting affiliate recommendations

How to spot an affiliate-driven recommendation

A good answer to “which LLC service?” and a paid one can read the same. These checks work on any site, including this one, which carries a disclosure in the footer of every page.

  1. Look at the link. A long tracking string, or a link that redirects through another domain before the provider, usually means a referral payment.
  2. Check the account. A profile that posts only about one brand, or only recently, is worth discounting.
  3. Count the repeats. Several replies in one thread with near-identical wording and the same top pick are not independent opinions.
  4. Look for the disclosure. The FTC expects a clear one near the recommendation. A footer line is the minimum.
  5. Find the second-year price. A recommendation that gives only the first-year price has left out the part that matters.
  6. See whether the weak points are named. A fair write-up says what its top pick does not do. Mainstay Filing does not file DBAs and does not offer mail forwarding or a virtual office; its registered agent address is not a business mailing address.
